Description
This 6 week intermediate class will be similar to the beginner class with higher expectation levels and more Therapet skills added. A prerequisite for the intermediate class will be a previous beginner class somewhere or testing out with instructor of this class. Contact Therapet to arrange testing out with instructor. The class will be limited to 10.
Class will cover obedience including but not limited to: loose leash heeling, sit, down, stay, come, backing, head down, leave it, manners with other dogs and people. Special emphasis will be to prepare dogs to become therapy dogs or simply to become better pets. The class will help to prepare the dog for CGC, Canine Good Citizen, testing.
Participants must be at least 6 months of age. Adult dogs must have vaccinations appropriate for their home county. (Some counties don’t require annual rabies vaccinations). Puppies must have at least 2 sets of age appropriate vaccinations with at least one set being from a veterinarian. Proof of vaccination must be brought to the first night of class for participation in class. Handlers must be at least 13 years old. Class is limited to 10 participants. Class does NOT meet on the 1st Thursday of each month.
